Branden Millner – Southaven, MS

Justin,

I wanted to thank you for the Canadian Apple I purchased from you. The first couple of bowls have been wonderful and I can tell it’s getting better with every smoke. The grain is outstanding, the drilling is perfect and makes for an outstanding draw. I love how the grain flows down the entire stem continuing in to the bowl. Beautiful pipe, excellent craftsmanship and extremely comfortable. There was a lot of detail work involved in this briar and it shows.

I am very pleased to be an owner of a Windjammer Pipe and will certainly be a return customer.

Preston – Evansville, IN

Of course, when I saw the Freehand Dublin posted, I immediately turned to my wife and said "hey look at that! That is beautiful!" She said "yup".

Well, pictures did not do this pipe justice. The grain – oh my goodness the grain! I’ve shown it off at work and at the B&M. Every one who sees it has the same reaction: "Wow!" I’ve not seen grain like this on a piece of briar so big. I’ve been looking very carefully and while I think I may have possibly found a pit, I really can’t detect any cosmetic blemishes. In a world where big names take up a lot of shelf space at B&M’s, and these big names contain big flaws, well this was sure a sight to behold.

The pipe feels good in my hands and in the mouth. I like the slim stoutness (does that even make sense?) of the bit. As for the size, the pipe is surprisingly light weight but not in the sense that some pipes are large and feel cheaply made. The sense of quality permeates this beautiful work of art.

Now for the smoke. My favorite tobacco blend is a bit moist and I have a hard time keeping it lit in my Bjarne. I loaded the Windjammer almost to the brim, packed as I would in any other pipe. I expected to need a bunch of pipe cleaners so I purchased a whole bundle. Only two were required for the entire bowl! Since I usually leave about a dozen in my wake no matter the blend or the pipe, this was a real treat.

The pipe stayed lit very well throughout a 2 hour conversation, I think I only had to relight once or twice. I liked the thick walls towards the top. The draw was smooth, not too easy not too tough (too easy often means too hot for me). The flavor of the tobacco came through so nicely, much better than any other time I’ve ever smoked this particular blend.

In all, I am pleased and honored to add this pipe to my collection. I cannot stress how stunning this grain is and the lines just flow like they should. The appearance is that the crafting of this pipe went together with no effort. I’ve seem some that just really look like they were forced into being.

This pipe was meant to exist.
