Capped Dublin – SOLD

Yet another custom order. This was an ebauchon that turned out with some gorgeous grain. Left in a natural finish and adorned with a vulcanite stem. This pipe is about a group 4 in size with spot on drilling and passes a pipe cleaner with no problem.

Tree Bark Poker – SOLD

•March 3, 2010 • Leave a Comment

This is the first time I tried this style of rustication, at least on a piece for sale. I have to say, I am quite happy with how this turned out. This Poker is a sitter with the tree bark rustication running all around the bowl and up the shank into the stem. It is a very comfortable pipe both in hand and mouth.  It is fitted with a vulcanite stem that has been custom cut. The drilling is spot on and it passes a cleaner with no problem.

Asymmetrical Panel Dublin (Rusticated) – SOLD

•February 20, 2010 • Leave a Comment

I consider this pipe my signature shape. The first one I made was a total accident as a result of trying to remove a major flaw. The end product was the asymmetrical shape that turned out to be not only beautiful, but quite comfortable in the hand. I have since made two more but this is the first being offered up for sale. This pipe is partially rusticated and the two smooth panels exhibit some very nice birdseye. It has been fitted with a tapered vulcanite stem and has been adorned with a lucite stem inlay. The drilling is spot on and the pipe passes a cleaner with no problem. This is probably about a group 4 in size.

Rusticated Plateau Brandy – SOLD

•February 11, 2010 • Leave a Comment

This pipe started out as a Volcano, but I didn’t really like the proportions. So, after some mid-sanding changes, this is what we got. This pipe has some gorgeous grain around the bow and the sides of the shank, unfortunately a few flaws along the rim required the rustication. The natural plateau has been left intact on the bottom of the pipe and adds a great tactile experience. This pipe is about a group 4 or 5 in size, has been stained Russet and finished with pure carnauba. The drilling is spot on and passes a cleaner with no problem.
